Tonight Manny Ramirez returns to Major League Baseball after a 50-game suspension for his use of performance-enhancing drugs. Today he gave his first press conference, which had some interesting “religious” statements.
He began by stating,
“God is good, and good is God.”
Very profound, and worthy of being tattooed on the foreheads of Manny fans.
And when asked how much embarrassment all this has brought to him, he responded:
“A lot but, um, you know, we humans, we learn from our mistake(s). There was only one man that was perfect – and they killed him. So… that’s how I look at life.“
I assume he is referring to Jesus, but it is too ambiguous to be sure. Who is Manny referring to by “they” – the ones who killed this perfect man (Jesus)? Did they kill him for being perfect?
The moral of the story: Manny is not perfect like Jesus, so there is no need to kill him.

typical jock idiocy.
